To bring closure to a lost opportunity, some friends are investigating the following: There are many gaps in the knowledge and understanding of climate change. Gaps exist when comparing among different science areas. Gaps exist from science levels to policy maker levels and economics. Each area and level has its own rich history and compendium of thought, understanding, and practice. Standards and protocols exist in each area and level. What is now required is a concordance and/or schema among standards and protocols that supports views, understanding and impacts from the policy maker level. This concordance would identify fundamental differences in areas and levels while supporting a unified approach to moving the climate change agenda.
