The two of you who read the blog occasionally will remember that I have compared on a regular basis freed masons working in stone and mud with IT contractors working in software. For example: use of Easter eggs, keystones, centring, abutments, follies, keep or defense in depth, project indenture, etc. Well one can tell the potential workmanship of a worker by the quality and variety of the tools used. Mostly work is maximizing the use of the same pattern most of the time; however, on the occasions when needed the most appropriate, high quality tool that supports the pattern should be followed. JIRA is such a tool – high quality, appropriate, and through design and configuration supporting of the pattern being followed. I would welcome the opportunity to connect with those who can import/export and/or share JIRA workflows; and what patterns they have supported.
